Ordering Information
Information About Our Items
We provide all information about the make and age of our vintage items in good faith, based on our own research. We try to date our items accurately through their labels and construction. When we provide date ranges these are approximate and based on our experience. We try to provide accurate photographs of our items, but please be aware that colours may vary slightly on different displays.
How We Measure Garments
We measure garments lying flat and then double to give Bust, Waist and Hip measurements. Bust is taken from underarm to underarm, or to the end of the bust darts. Sometimes the shape of the garment means there is more fullness at the bust and we give a range. The Waist measurement is taken at the seam or smallest width of the garment. The Hip measurement is taken 6 inches below the Waist. Length is measured from the nape or the halfway between the shoulders, to the hemline.
Measurements given are of the garment itself, so to ensure a good fit you should account for ease in addition to your body measurements. You might find it helpful to compare the measurements we provide with those of a garment you have that fits you well.
We provide an approximate modern UK Size in our descriptions, though please check the measurements carefully, as vintage sizing and proportions can vary.
