This weekend saw Retrovert's first visit to Mill Road Winter Fair. Despite the cold, it was a day filled with a vibrant community atmosphere and lots of friendly faces. therealcambridge.
We had a stall in the lovely Ditchburn Gardens, which had live music to keep us dancing throughout the day and was adorned with these colourful garlands.
The fair has gone from strength to strength in recent years and you can find out more about its interesting history over on We had a stall in the lovely Ditchburn Gardens, which had live music to keep us dancing throughout the day and was adorned with these colourful garlands.
Our tea cups proved to be a popular gift and lots of lucky mums and sisters have some gorgeous vintage china coming their way for Christmas. Two lovely cake stands also found new homes, which means I need to get making some more! I love to match up lonely vintage plates and transform them into something new.
Our vintage accessories also went down a storm and we sold all of our luxurious velvet scarves. Half of our bags and purses also went, once again proving that us girls can never have too many handbags!
I managed to find a brief moment to leave the stall and watch the parade. The majestic dragon was the highlight for me. It was also wonderful to see the usually traffic filled road awash with people.
It was a shame I couldn't get to all the other events happening along the road, but I had a fantastic time at my stall chatting to all the visitors, who were clearly having a great day.
